Indus Towers is the proud winner of the tele.net Telecom Operator Awards 2013 under the ‘Best Infrastructure Provider’ category. This is the third consecutive year that Indus has won this award. It is indeed an honour to be recognized by the industry consistently. The winners of the 13 categories were selected on the basis of an extensive survey conducted amongst a carefully selected group of industry professionals, sector experts and key consumers. This award, once again, is a true testimony to the high standards that the Indus Team has set for the industry.

GREEN SITES PROJECT
Indus Towers has won the coveted GSMA Green Mobile Award for its Green Sites Project at the prestigious GSMA Awards Ceremony held in Barcelona, Spain recently. The GSMA Global Mobile Awards recognize and celebrate all the contributions made to the ever-evolving and developing mobile industry. This year there were over 600 entries and nominations for the 37 awards, the largest ever number of honors to be presented at the Global Mobile Awards. The awards were judged by a panel of independent experts, analysts, journalists, academics and, in some cases, mobile operator representatives.

Green Initiatives Award 2012
Indus Towers was awarded the Green Initiatives Award at the Airtel Partners Meet 2012. The recognition comes in the light of Indus’ initiative to manage network operations by eliminating Diesel Genset running at the site by augmenting electricity supply / battery bank/other technology initiative (deployment of FCU, inverter and other technical solutions) without compromising on the network. With this Indus has already reduced usage of 62 million litres of diesel in the last 2 years.

Enabling 3G Services for the Nation 2011
Indus is the proud recipient of “Enabling 3G services for the Nation Award”, a project under the category of Telecom at the Essar Steel-CNBC Infrastructure Excellence Awards 2011 . The award recognizes Indus for its speed of delivery services for 3G. Indus took up the ambitious task of hosting 3G equipment on 18,000 sites in less than six months. Today, it hosts more than 24,000 base stations servicing 3G, almost 80 per cent of the total installed in the country.

Indus received the “Largest Independent Tower Company” award at the CMAI and Star News’ 5th National Telecom Awards 2011. This was the second consecutive year that Indus won this award. The award recognizes Indus’s role in providing uninterrupted mobile telecommunication facilities to ordinary citizens.

Indus Towers has been awarded the 12th CII National Awards 2011 for Excellence in Energy Management under the category- “Innovative Energy Saving Product Services”. The award once again highlights Indus’ commitment to environment for reducing diesel usage by 50 million tons through innovative methods and hence reducing carbon emission.

Indus won at CMAI INFOCOM National Telecom Awards 2010. The award was presented by Dr JS Sarma, Chairman TRAI and Shri PJ Thomas, Secretary DOT and Chairman Telecom Commission. The award identifies and recognizes outstanding contributions to the ICT sector for building a National Telecom Network and thus providing an effective means of communications.

Indus Towers won the prestigious “ IBM - The Great Mind Challenge for Business“ for the Most Strategic Enterprise. Indus proposed the ‘Smart Tower’ framework which creates a touch and feel layer around the tower through multiple modes of automation and analytics. Indus was recognized for strategically solving the challenge of running a huge distributed asset base in a large country and providing unmatched certainty on its infrastructure.
